Parks and Recreation summer activities registration opens April 8
Grand Island, Nebr.— The City of Grand Island Parks and Recreation Department summer activities hardcopy guide will be released on April 8. The guide can also be found online at www.grand-island.com/summerguide.
The theme of the 2017 guide is, “Summer Fun—Programs, Pools and More.” The summer activities guide contains information on youth programs, swimming lessons, day camps, Jackrabbit Run Golf Course and Heartland Public Shooting Park activities, field rentals, tennis lessons, contact phone numbers, park facilities information, volunteer opportunities, Grand Island Games, and much more.
The Parks and Recreation Department offers summer programs for all ages. Residents can register online for summer activities beginning Saturday, April 8, at www.grand-island.com/recreation. Beginning Monday, May 1, walk-in registrations for summer programs will take place at the Parks and Recreation office located upstairs at City Hall, 100 E. First St. In some cases, space is limited and therefore, online registration is suggested.
