Kids are invited to explore the sport of archery

   Grand Island, Neb.—The City of Grand Island Community Fieldhouse invites students ages 7-15 to explore the sport of archery. The class will teach participants the basics of archery and help improve shooting through certified instruction and fun games.

   The class will take place next door to the Fieldhouse at the Game and Parks Archery Range in the Nebraska State Fair Building. The class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning on Jan. 9 through Jan. 18, 2018. Ages 7-10 will participate from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and ages 11-15 will hold class from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m.

   Registration deadline is Friday, Dec. 22, and the cost is $55. Register online at www.grand-island.com/fieldhouse or return form and payment to the Grand Island Parks and Recreation office at 100 E. First St. or the Community Fieldhouse, 525 E. Fonner Park Road. Equipment is provided but if participants have their own equipment they are encouraged to bring it.
