You Can Make A Difference. Volunteer Today!
The strength of any community’s emergency or disaster response lies not only
with the expertise and skill of emergency responders but also requires active
public involvement and volunteerism. Emergency volunteer service has seen a
renewed interest following incidents of local and national significance. It is
important to recognize that you can make a difference in our community by
volunteering with any one of our local public safety and disaster organizations.
Hall County Citizen Corps Council

coordinating disaster volunteer programs, developing community action plans,
assessing possible threats and identifying local resources.
The Hall County Citizen Corps Council is a partnership between government
agencies, volunteer partners, and other invested organizations. Citizen Corps
Councils promote local campaigns for:
• Public Outreach: Encouraging household or
business preparedness plans and disaster supplies kits, observing health and
safety practices, implementing disaster mitigation measures, and participating
in crime prevention and reporting.
• Training: Classes in emergency
preparedness, response capabilities, first aid, CPR, fire suppression, and
search and rescue procedures. This also includes the establishment of Citizen Corps Volunteer Programs.

and managing volunteer activities that support first responders, disaster relief
