Chad has been the Planning Director for the Hall County Regional Planning Commission since December 1999. The Hall County Planning Commission provides planning services to Hall County, the cities of Grand Island and Wood River, Hall County, and the Villages of Alda, Doniphan and Cairo. He is a professional planner with a Masters of Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is active in and an officer in the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Zoning Administrator Affiliate and the Nebraska Planning and Zoning Association (NPZA) and President of Nebraska Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA). Chad has variety of experience in planning issues in Nebraska ranging from: work with the Nebraska Department of Health relative to infectious and communicable disease prevention planning; work with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development researching affordable housing in Nebraska; to experience with county and municipal land use planning in Madison and Hall Counties. |

The Regional Planning Commission facilitates the Regional Planning Department. The Commission functions as a unified Planning Department for Grand Island, Hall County, Wood River, Cairo, Doniphan and Alda. The Department is responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan, administration of the development review process, and administration of land use regulations established by the member entities. The Department reviews and processes all development proposals and provides direct support to the: Public, Planning Commission, Grand Island City Council and Staff, Hall County Board of Supervisors and Staff, Wood River City Council and Staff, and Cairo, Doniphan, and Alda Village Boards and Staff. |
