Steve Lamken was born and raised in Illinois.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Arkansas State University and a Masters Degree in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Nebraska.  He has worked in various law enforcement positions for the last 34 years where he has primarily served in municipal police departments in Nebraska.  He and his wife, Mary, have two grown children. Steve enjoys the outdoors, fishing and canoeing, carpentry and reading.
