General Golf Course Information

Jackrabbit Run Golf Course, formerly known as Grand Island Municipal Golf Course located at 2800 North Shady Bend Road, was selected by Golf Digest as a 3-1/2 Star Award Winner of Places to Play for 2001-2002. The Omaha World Herald selected Grand Island's Municipal Golf Course as one of the top 5 Midlands Public Golf Courses. This 18 hole Championship Course is one that any golfer will enjoy. It offers a practice facility, rental golf carts, snack bar, and a golf shop with a complete line of merchandise. A staff of P.G.A. professionals are available to answer questions and offer suggestions. Leagues, Tournaments, and Handicapping services are available through the following associations: Men's, Ladies, Seniors, and a Junior program. The course is open year round, weather permitting. Starting times are available one week in advance.

18 holes are usually played in 4 hours or less.

Out-of-Bounds

Fences on 10-18. Stroke and Distance Penalty.

Water Hazards

Exist on 4, 9, and 17. Yellow Lines. Penalty One Stroke. Refer to Rule 26 for Options.

Lateral Water Hazards

Exist on 9 and 17. Red Lines. Penalty One Stroke. Refer to Rule 26 for Options.

Each Player Must

Have Own Clubs.

Play without Delay.

Use Trash Receptacles.

Keep Carts 30 feet away from Tees, Greens, and on Paths where Provided.

Rake Footprints from Sand Traps when Exiting.
