Patrol Division |
|
|
The Patrol Division is responsible for uniform patrol duties in the City. The City is divided into North and South geographical teams with sergeants and officers assigned to each area covering all hours of the day. Team officers use marked patrol cars, unmarked cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and foot patrol to perform their duties. The Traffic Unit which focuses on traffic enforcement and the Police Service Dog teams are also assigned to the Patrol Division. The Patrol Division officers have the most daily contact with people in the City and respond to most crimes, citizen calls for services and accidents. |

Criminal Investigations Division |

The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for the investigation of major crimes, and all follow up investigations. Contained within the Division are General Investigations Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit, Child Abuse and Missing Juvenile Unit, Evidence and Property, Crime Stoppers, and is the Department’s liaison with outside agencies. |

Administration Division |

The Administrative Division is responsible for a number of areas. The Records Unit and Service Desk are in the Division. The Training and Personnel Supervisor also serves in the unit. The School Resource Officers and SRO's serve in the division while working closely with the Patrol Division. The SRO's serve as liaisons with the schools, teach GREAT and other classes, and take calls and investigate crimes at the schools. The Division also has the Community Resource Officers who are non-sworn employees responsible for code enforcement and a variety of other duties. |
