STREET / LANE CLOSURES WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND

Beginning March 15, 2018 the north lane of 2nd Street just west of Pine Street is closed through Pine Street due to issues with sidewalk repair. Please use the two south lanes. This is anticipated to last through March 19, 2018. Please expect delays and follow the signs in place.
Beginning March 15, 2018 Broadwell Avenue will be closed to southbound traffic with a lane shift to the common turn lane between 16th Street and 15th Street to allow for a water service repair. Northbound traffic will be unaffected. This is anticipated to last through March 19, 2018. Please follow the signs in place and expect delays.
Beginning March 12, 2018 Broadwell Avenue will be completely closed to northbound and southbound traffic between Clark Street and 17th Street. This is to allow for a water main project. This is anticipated to reopen in approximately 2 weeks. Please use the traffic detour signs in place.
Beginning March 21, 2018 the 13th & Diers Avenue will be completely closed to northbound traffic. Southbound traffic will have a lane shift. This will be reopened nightly around 5:00pm and then close again in the morning hours for approximately 3 days. Please use the traffic signs in place.
- The Eddy underpass will be closed March 19, 2018 weather permitting to April 1, 2018 for work being done by the EPA. On April 1, 2018 one lane in each direction will be opened with turning restrictions. Please expect delays and use caution when driving through the work zone area.
SANITARY SEWER CLEANING
- Crew 1 will be Flushing at North Rd to Hwy 281 – 13th & State
- Crew 2 will be Flushing at Stagecoach to Stolley – Apache & Locust
Beginning March 15, 2018 State Street at the intersection of Hancock Avenue is reduced to one lane traffic where eastbound traffic must yield to westbound traffic. All traffic northbound from Hancock should anticipate long delays while attempting to turn westbound onto State Street. This is to allow for a water break repair. The street is expected to last through March 22, 2018. Please follow the signs in place.
STOLLEY PARK ROAD
Stolley Park Road has traffic lane shifts between Adams Street and Spring Road to allow for sanitary sewer rehab. Please expect some slight delays in traffic. This is anticipated to last through March 23, 2018.
