Stormwater Management Plan Annual Reports

The City of Grand Island is required to submit reports to the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) on how stormwater in the community is being managed. As of 1 January 2018, the City of Grand Island will be operating under a     new General National Pollution Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) permit NER310000. This new permit requires the city to be evaluated on 6 Minimum Control Measures (MCM) found in 5 Best Management Practices.

  1. Public Education, Outreach, and Involvement (MCM 1&2)
  2. Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (MCM 3)
  3. Construction Requirements and Control Measures (MCM 4)
  4. Post-Construction Stormwater Management Program (MCM 5)
  5. Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping (MCM 6)
