Residents of Grand Island:

People are asking me for locations in the city where coronavirus may be present.  On March 28, 2020, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services determined that we have confirmed cases of community spread of coronavirus in the city.  This means that we must assume that coronavirus is everywhere.  Please take extra precautions using this assumption.   Please keep at least 6 feet of space between you and other people, wash your hands regularly, and do not touch your face.

Title VI

The City is required to comply, and ensures the compliance of each third-party contractor at any tier and each sub-recipient at any tier under the project, with the provisions of 49 U.S.C. § 5332. These provisions prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability or age and prohibit discrimination in employment or business opportunity. The City ensures this compliance through a "Title VI Plan" and providing a form for citizens to use.  The City has also created and abides by a Disadvantaged Business Plan or "DBE Plan."  Links to documents, including the Title VI Complaint Form and ADA Complaint Form, are below.
