City Administrator Brent Clark

Brent Clark was appointed City Administrator for the City of Grand Island in March 2019. He served as Assistant City Administrator for nearly three months beginning in December 2018, as then City Administrator Marlan Ferguson was transitioning into retirement. Clark served as the City Administrator/Zoning Administrator in Broken Bow, Nebraska from February 2015 until taking the position in Grand Island. Prior to serving in Broken Bow, Clark was the City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer in Dakota City, Nebraska from August 2011 to February 2015. He is the former South Sioux City/Dakota County Convention & Visitors Bureau Director, and previously worked for the City of South Sioux City as the Grant Coordinator/Economic Development Assistant.
Clark has over a decade of experience supporting community, economic, and tourism development throughout multiple Nebraska Communities. He is driven to help communities identify and overcome needs and opportunities, as well as, leading the implementation of sustainable community and economic development strategies.
Clark obtained his bachelors degree from Wayne State College in May 2009. He has served as the Nebraska City/County Management Association (NCMA) President from 2017-2018 and has served on the Nebraska Crime Commission Board since January 2017.
