Every shooter is required to conduct themselves according to our Safety Rules. Please read them carefully so you understand what is expected for your own safety, and for the safety of those around you.
SAFE GUN HANDLING RULES
ALWAYS KEEP THE GUN POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION -TREAT EVERY GUN AS "LOADED".
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
ALWAYS KEEP THE ACTION OPEN AND THE FIREARM UNLOADED UNTIL YOU ARE ON THE STATION OR STAND AND ARE READY TO USE IT.
KNOW YOUR TARGET, AND WHAT IS BEYOND.
BE SURE THE GUN IS IN GOOD REPAIR AND SAFE TO OPERATE.
KNOW HOW TO OPERATE THE GUN SAFELY.
USE ONLY THE CORRECT AMMUNITION FOR YOUR GUN.
THE USE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ARE PROHIBITED BEFORE AND WHILE SHOOTING.
STORE GUNS SO THEY ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE TO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS.
GENERAL SHOTGUN FIELDS RULES
Shooters and spectators are responsible for range safety. Please call 308-385-5048 to report any unsafe condition or malfunctions with clay target machines. PLEASE DO NOT attempt to adjust or repair any clay target machine.
Shooters and spectators assume responsibility for accident or injury.
Ear and Eye Protection is required for all shooters and spectators while on or near our ranges. Ear muffs are recommended for children younger than age 12.
Anyone under age 16, must be supervised by an adult while on ranges.
Spectators must maintain a safe distance behind the shooter on All Ranges.
Trap, skeet & sporting clays maximum allowable shotgun ammo is 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch, 7.5 size with 1 1/8 ounce of shot. EXCEPTION - 9 shot ONLY is allowed on skeet fields 9 & 10. Only 2 shells are allowed in your gun at any one time. One shell only must be loaded on Trap singles and Skeet station 8. Please do not load your gun until you are in the shooting station/position.
On Sporting Clays Range, please stay on the path between stations..
If a delay stops shooting procedure, shooter must unload gun until it’s time to resume shooting.
Release triggers must be marked as such and all squad members are aware of the release trigger.
Shooters, PLEASE remove empty shotshells from the range prior to leaving ... Thank You!
Eating, smoking or drinking from open (non-lidded) containers are prohibited. Lead particles are attracted to moist surfaces like food, cigarettes and beverage rims. Hands should be washed in cold water and soap to remove lead particles after shooting.
