Flyer for the Kids & Tween Book Box Subscription

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library is introducing a new opportunity for young readers with the launch of its 2026 Kids & Tween Book Box Subscription program.

Designed for children ages 8 to 12, the program offers participants a personalized reading experience each month. Through December, subscribers will receive a curated book box featuring two library books selected by the Library’s Youth & Family Services Librarian, along with special surprises and treats.

The program is intended to encourage a love of reading while helping young patrons discover new authors, genres and titles tailored to their interests. To participate, children must have an active Grand Island Public Library card. Applications may be completed in person at the library or by calling (308) 385-5333. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants, and applications will be accepted through June 28 or until all spots are filled.

The program is funded through a 2026 Nebraska Library Commission Youth Grant for Excellence.
