Conestoga Marketplace Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) Occupation Tax
Grand Island City Council approved ordinance No. 9909 on December 20, 2022, establishing and creating the Conestoga Marketplace Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) area. On March 12, 2024, the Grand Island City Council approved ordinance No. 9967 updating the boundary for the Conestoga Marketplace Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) area. The ordinances imposes a 1.5% occupation tax on persons operating a General Retail Business within the Conestoga Marketplace Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) Area, effective May 1, 2023.

Northwest Commons Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) Occupation Tax
Grand Island City Council approved ordinance No. 9509 on October 28, 2014. This ordinance imposes a 1% occupation tax on persons operating a General Retail Business within the Northwest Commons Enhanced Employment Act (EEA) Area, effective October 1, 2015.
