Patrick Brown
Patrick J. Brown, City Administrator and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Grand Island, brings more than two decades of experience in municipal finance, budgeting, and public administration. Since joining Grand Island in 2018 as the Finance Director/City Treasurer, Brown has overseen the Finance Department including Utility Billing, Information Technology and is also serving as the City’s Purchasing Agent.
Before his tenure in Grand Island, Brown held leadership roles in Colorado cities including Boulder, Centennial, and Arvada, where he spearheaded tax administration reforms, implemented new revenue systems, and developed innovative community engagement programs. He began his career with the State of Arkansas as a Tax Auditor Supervisor, overseeing a team of auditors responsible for state tax compliance.
Brown is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Business Administration and further studies in Accounting at Fort Hays State University. He has also completed professional development programs with ICMA, the University of Colorado, and the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service.
