Grand Island, Neb. — With the upcoming 4^th of July holiday, the City of Grand Island would like to announce various closures.

All of the below departments will be closed on Thursday, July 4:

Solid Waste Facility
Grand Island Public Library
GIPD Service Desk (Please call 9-1-1)
Transit Office
Street & Fleet Office
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Grand Island Cemetery Office 

The City of Grand Island's swimming facilities will be open on July 4. Operational hours are as follows (weather permitting):

Island Oasis Water Park - 321 E. Fonner Park Rd
l   12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Lincoln Pool – 1018 E. 7^th Street
l    12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Veterans Park/Stolley Park Splash Pad – 2820 N. Broadwell
l    9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Wading Pools
*Lincoln Park – 715 Beal Street
*Pier Park – 500 S. Oak Street
*Grace Abbott Park – 601 W. State Street
l    11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Lastly, Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will also be open for both practice and play from 7:30 a.m. until sunset.
