Cooking the Books

Grand Island, Neb. — ā€œCooking the Books,ā€ one of the Grand Island Public Library’s newest book clubs, returns Saturday, August 17 with a focus on ā€œBlue Ribbon Recipes.ā€

Starting at 12 p.m. in Meeting Room A, attendees can get ready for the Nebraska State Fair by bringing a favorite fair or ribbon-worthy recipe to share and discuss with the group. If you are a fan of food, cooking and trying new recipes, you will enjoy the latest edition of ā€œCooking the Books.ā€

Participants will select a cookbook or other recipe(s), test it and bring one of their creations to share with the group. Members will then discuss their cookbooks, recipes, cooking experience, and more!
