Grand Island, Neb. — Just days removed from a restoring power to more than 10,000 people in a 24-hour window, the Grand Island Utilities Department is jumping back into storm recovery mode for the city of Fremont.

GIUD will be sending a team of five lineworkers to Fremont on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. They will be assisting with restoration efforts following the blizzard that rocked most of central and eastern Nebraska on Wednesday, March 19.

The team is expected to be in Fremont through at least Tuesday, March 25 to assist with recovery efforts.
