GIAMPO LRTP

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (GIAMPO) invites community members to attend a Public Priorities Workshop for the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) on Thursday, June 5 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Island Public Library.

This open-house style workshop will provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about the LRTP and participate in interactive exercises focused on future multi-modal transportation strategies. Attendees will explore a range of proposed alternatives related to highways, roads, transit, freight, bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

Public input collected at this event will help shape transportation planning decisions for the next 25 years. There will be no formal presentation, and attendees are welcome to come and go at their convenience. Community engagement is a vital component of the LRTP development process, which is why all residents are encouraged to attend and share their perspectives.

For those unable to participate in person, an online version of the meeting will be available beginning June 5 at www.GI2050.com. Visitors to the website can review workshop materials, complete a survey and provide comments through July 3. Feedback may also be submitted via email to comment@GI2050.com or by mail to:
