Grand Island, Neb. — The City of Grand Island invites the public and media to join local leaders, artists and organizers for the official press event announcing the 2025 Hear Grand Island summer concert series.
The event will take place Friday, June 20 at 10 a.m. at Amur Plaza (300 N Wheeler Ave), at the north end of the park near the stage. Mayor Roger Steele will be one of many speakers featured during the press event and will highlight Hear Grand Island’s ongoing impact on the vibrancy of downtown and community pride.
Joining the mayor will be Grand Island Economic Development Director Mary Berlie, Tourism Director Brad Mellema and Hear Grand Island’s Brent Lindner and Luke Mills, who will unveil the full 2025 concert lineup and dates.
“We’re proud to support this celebration of local culture and music,” said Mayor Steele. “Hear Grand Island is more than a concert series — it’s a reflection of the spirit and energy of our community.”
Following the official remarks, there will be a live musical performance by Hockett, and an open Q&A session for attendees and media.
