Grand Island, Neb. ā With the upcoming 4th of July holiday, the City of Grand Island would like to announce various closures.
All of the below departments will be closed on Friday, July 4:
Grand Island City Hall
Crane Public Transit
Utilities Service Center
Solid Waste Facility
Grand Island Public Library
GIPD Service Desk (Please call 9-1-1)
Transit Office
Street & Fleet Office
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Grand Island Cemetery Office
The City of Grand Islandās swimming facilities will be open on July 4. Operational hours are as follows (weather permitting):
1) Island Oasis Water Park - 321 E. Fonner Park Road
12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
2) Lincoln Pool - 1018 E. 7th Street
12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
3) Veterans Park/Stolley Park Splash Pad ā 2820 N. Broadwell
9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
4) Wading Pools
Lincoln Park - 715 Beal Street
Pier Park - 500 S. Oak Street
Grace Abbott Park - 601 W. State Street
11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Lastly, Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will also be open for both practice and play starting at 7:30 a.m., but will be closing early at 5 p.m. on July 4. Every other day of the holiday weekend will see the course open from 7:30 a.m. until sunset.
