Grand Island, Neb. — Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) is conducting scheduled maintenance on rail crossings throughout Hall County, including within the City of Grand Island.
The work is expected to be completed quickly, with most crossings reopening the same day they are closed. The only exception is Broadwell Avenue, which will remain closed overnight for railroad tie replacements. The closure schedule is as follows:
Monday, July 21:
Broadwell Avenue (overnight closure)
Tuesday, July 22:
Broadwell Avenue
Blaine Street
Webb Road
Stolley Park Road
Wednesday, July 23:
Engleman Road
Husker Highway
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and exercise caution near all work zones. UPRR and city crews are working to minimize disruptions and appreciate the public’s patience as these important infrastructure improvements are made.
