Grand Island, Neb. — City offices will be closed in Grand Island for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Black Friday holidays.

All of the departments below will be closed on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday: 

• Grand Island City Hall

• Crane Public Transit

• Utilities Service Center

• Heartland Shooting Park

• Grand Island Public Library

• GIPD Service Desk (Please call 9-1-1)

• Transit Office

• Street & Fleet Office

• Wastewater Treatment Plant

• Grand Island Cemetery Office

Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will be closed Wednesday, November 26 through Sunday, November 30, but will reopen the driving range from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. as long as temperatures exceed 45 degrees.

The Community Fieldhouse will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will resume normal hours from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. starting Friday, Nov. 28. The Grand Island Transfer Station and Solid Waste Facility will also be closed on Thanksgiving, but reopen on Friday.
