Grand Island, Neb. ā Grand Island Mayor Roger Steele will be delivering his annual State of the City Address on Monday, January 12 at 9 a.m. in the Grand Island City Council Chambers.
The State of the City Address serves as an opportunity for residents, community partners and local media to hear directly from Mayor Steele about the Cityās progress, major accomplishments and priorities for the year ahead. The address will provide an overview of current initiatives, ongoing projects and the Cityās long-term vision focused on growth, public safety and quality of life in Grand Island.
In addition to Mayor Steeleās remarks, Grand Island Police Chief Kevin Denney and Grand Island Fire Chief Cory Schmidt will also speak during the event. Both chiefs will provide departmental updates and discuss public safety efforts, operational priorities and continued collaboration aimed at protecting and serving the city.
The event is open to the public and members of the local media are encouraged to attend. City officials welcome residents to participate and engage in this annual update on the state of municipal operations and community progress. All three speakers will be available for a Q&A session following their remarks.
