Grand Island, Neb. — Local aquatic facilities are just weeks away from reopening as residents prepare for the 2026 summer season.

The Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department says City splash pads and wading pools will officially open Saturday, May 23, while Island Oasis Water Park and Lincoln Pool will open on Saturday, May 30. All facilities will then operate seven days a week throughout the summer season. The specific hours are listed below:

Island Oasis Water Park
321 E. Fonner Park Road

  • Monday-Wednesday: Noon to 6 p.m.

  • Thursday-Sunday: Noon to 8 p.m.

Lincoln Pool
716 N. Lambert Street

  • Daily: Noon to 6 p.m.

     

Wading Pools
Lincoln Park, 715 Beal Street
Pier Park, 500 S. Oak Street
Grace Abbott Park, 601 W. State Street

  • Daily: 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Splash Pads
Stolley Park, 2103 W. Stolley Park Road
Veterans Park, 2820 N. Broadwell Avenue

  • Daily: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Island Oasis Admission and Season Passes
Daily admission to Island Oasis is $8.50 for youth ages 4-18 & adults ages 55 and older. Daily admission is $9.50 for adults ages 19-54. Children ages 3 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. A one-time family pass for two adults and up to four children is also available for $35. 

Season Pass Rates

  • Youth ages 4-18 and seniors 55+: $105

  • Adults ages 19-54: $115

  • Family pass (up to 4 members): $235

  • Family pass (up to 6 members): $285

  • Additional family members beyond 6: $50 each

Lincoln Pool Admission and Season Passes

Daily admission to Lincoln Pool is $4 for youth ages 4-18 & adults ages 55 and older. Daily admission is $5 for adults ages 19-54. Children ages 3 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.

Season Pass Rates

  • Youth ages 4-18 and seniors 55+: $55

  • Adults ages 19-54: $65

  • Family pass (up to 4 members): $115

  • Family pass (up to 6 members): $145

  • Additional family members beyond six: $30 each
