Unearth a Storytime Flyer

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library is expanding its summer outreach efforts by bringing a special storytime program to the Literacy Council as part of its 2026 Unearth a Story Summer Reading Program.

The free storytime sessions will be held at the Literacy Council at 115 W. Charles St. on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. throughout the summer. Program dates include June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22 and July 29. No program will be held on July 1.

Children of all ages are invited to attend. In addition to enjoying stories and literacy-focused activities, families will have the opportunity to sign up for library cards and learn more about the Grand Island Public Library’s summer programs and services.

The outreach initiative is designed to make library resources more accessible while encouraging children and families to stay engaged in reading and learning throughout the summer months.
