Grand Island, Neb. — Following Tuesday night’s storm, which brought down tree limbs and uprooted several trees across the community, the City of Grand Island is reminding residents that tree branches, brush and other storm-related greenery should be taken to The Landscape Depot for disposal.

In previous years, residents were able to dispose of yard waste and storm debris at the Grand Island Transfer Station. However, that service has since relocated to The Landscape Depot, which is located at 366 N. 80th Road. They can also be reached at (308) 390-1586.

The Landscape Depot accepts yard waste and green debris and is open daily. Residents are encouraged to contact the facility directly for current hours, accepted materials and any applicable fees. The City appreciates residents’ patience as cleanup efforts continue throughout the community and encourages everyone to use caution when handling storm-damaged trees and debris. For large limbs affecting public streets or other City property, residents should contact the City of Grand Island at (308) 385-5444 for assistance.
