Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Police Department conducted tobacco compliance checks at nine local businesses on Monday, July 27 as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with state laws prohibiting the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to minors.

The following businesses passed the compliance checks: 

  • Smoker's Island, 309 S. Locust St.

  • VIP Smoke Shop, 3212 S. Locust St.

  • Grand Island Vapors, 2830 Old Fair Road

  • Chasing Clouds, 920 N. Diers Ave.

  • Gas Island, 2012 N. Webb Road

  • Smokaha Tobacco, 2250 N. Webb Road

  • eTitan Vapors, 1424 W. Second St.

  • Galaxy Tobacco, 1209 Allen Drive

The following business failed the compliance check:

  • Vapor World, 206 Wilmar Ave.

The Grand Island Police Department conducts compliance checks periodically to encourage responsible retail practices and help prevent the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to underage individuals.
