The Grand Island Fire Department will be hosting a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the completion of Fire Station #3. Construction of the fire station began July 2024.
The grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 27 and will be held at 2310 S. Webb Road. Comments will be provided by City Council President Ryan OāNeill, City Administrator Pat Brown, and Fire Chief Cory Schmidt. Following comments, a ribbon cutting will mark the ceremonial opening of the new fire station. At the completion of the ceremony, fire station tours will be provided by fire department personnel.
Interview opportunities will be available with Elected Officials, City Administrator Pat Brown, and Fire Department staff members.
The ceremony is open to the public and we hope to see media in attendance!
